About the Shark Swim

The Shark Swim is a street voyeur art project started in early March of 2012 in New York City.  

In an age of more and more visual exposure of the everyday person online, The Shark Swim aims to challenge our notions of privacy in public spaces.  The images have been snapped discreetly, without the subjects knowledge.  The subject is kept unrecognizable maintaining their anonymity.  And in turn, by accepting submissions from other sharks, the voyeur’s anonymity is also maintained, blending the lines between the two…
